Last week MAC had the pleasure of facilitating an interactive session with Year 7 students at The King David High School in Manchester. Held in conjunction with All Our Futures Ltd, the session gave pupils the opportunity to try their hand at using virtual reality equipment that simulated flying a drone and carrying out various tasks on a construction site.
This hugely enjoyable activity gave the students an insight into how drones can be used as a vital tool on construction projects and opened their eyes to potential employment opportunities. During the session we also discussed a number of other career options available within the construction industry with the hope of attracting more young people into the sector to help reduce the current skills gap.
We would like to say a big thank you to CWIC Wales for the use of their fantastic ‘Have a Go’ equipment which helped to make this event such a success!
